 Solution:-

A:B = 7:8   is written as   A/B = 7/8

B:C = 16:21 is written as  B/C = 16/21

We have to find A:C = ? 

A:C is written as  A/C

A/C = A/B × B/C

A/C = 7/8 × 16/21

A/C = 2/3

A:C = 2:3

Ans:- A:C = 2:3
