Find the value of p for which the points are colinear if (7,-2),(5,1),(3,p)

 Solution:-

Find the value of p for which the points are colinear if (7,-2),(5,1),(3,p)
Find the value of p for which the points are colinear if (7,-2),(5,1),(3,p)

The degree of x2 – 5x + 2 = x3 is:

 x2 – 5x + 2 = x3

x2 - 5x + 2 - x3 = 0

-x3 + x2 - 5x + 2 = 0

If we change the sign of these equation then,

x3 - x2 + 5x - 2 = 0

Ans:- 3

Note: The degree is the value of greatest exponent of any expression.

Find A: C, if A:B = 7:8 and B:C = 16:21

 Solution:-

A:B = 7:8   is written as   A/B = 7/8

B:C = 16:21 is written as  B/C = 16/21

We have to find A:C = ?

A:C is written as  A/C

A/C = A/B × B/C

A/C = 7/8 × 16/21

A/C = 2/3

A:C = 2:3

Ans:- A:C = 2:3

Add the following terms -2mm, 4 mn, - 6 mn

=  -2mm + mn (-1)

=  -2mm - mn

Ans:-  -2mm - mn
